James Younghusband

Born on September 4, 1986, James Joseph Placer Younghusband, a Filipino-British footballer started his career after he signed up for Chelsea Academy at the age of 10 in 1996, together with brother Phil and Neil Etheridge, where he made a number of appearances for the Chelsea F.C. Youth Team and reserve team. During his scholarship in Chelsea, he attended the Salesian School in southwest London where he passed all his GCSEs and one A-Level. He has been playing football since he was 3-years-old. Because of this, it was a no-brainer for him to aspire to participate in the professional leagues later on in life.

James and his brother Phil was invited to play for the Philippines in South East Asian (SEA) Games in 2005. The talented central midfielder Azkal James can be deployed on either right back or right wing and once said, “I want to accomplish in the Philippines what David Beckham plans to do in America – make football bigger.”
