Yannick Tuason Makes His International Debut

Kaya and Philippines forward Yannick Tuason made his first appearance in an Azkals shirt when they drew against Myanmar yesterday. Yannick entered the pitch as a substitute for winger Chieffy Caligdong who suffered a knock during the second half.

Fil-Spanish Angel Aldeguer is another National Team forward that made his debut yesterday. He (Angel) is set up Bersales in the second half freeing him with his lobbed ball which forced Myanamar keeper to challenge Bersales which resulted into a dangerous one. Myanmar Keeper was sent off, and the penalty resulted was duly converted by James Younghusband who scored his second goal in two games.

Coming Wednesday, 03/23/11, The Philippines will play Palestine in what seems to be a must win situation for the Azkals. Palestine beat Bangladesh yesterday with two goals from Murad Eleyan in the 46th and 65th minute in the second half without reply. Building towards the match, the pressure piles on the Azkals to get a good result against Palestine, who lead Group A with three points and two goals. Source
