Azkals team members and celebrity brothers James and Phil Younghusband recently met up with their fans to thank them for their continued support, and at the same time, raise awareness on The Younghusband Football Academy (TYFA), their latest endeavor which encourages a deeper appreciation of the sport.
“If you are interested in learning football and would like to be trained in the sport, The Younghusband Football Academy is here to help you discover your passion and talent,” said Phil. “The great thing about football is that it is a non-discriminating sport – anyone can play. That’s really one of the significant points that we want to convey to the public.”
The innovative and proudly Filipino retail brand launched a promo to help raise funds for their cause. With every purchase of the Younghusband shirts, P150 goes to The Younghusband Football Academy to support its scholarship program.
The Younghusband Football Academy offers well-rounded football training that touches on a mixture of different skills that need to be honed for the sport. It also raises funds to run its grassroots program, allowing it to teach public schools for free, and a scholarship program in partnership with Gawad Kalinga and DSWD, to send deserving but less fortunate kids to the academy.
