Azkals open Long Teng bid vs reigning titlist HK

The Philippine Azkals will open their bid in the 2011 Long Teng Cup against defending champion Hong Kong on Friday.


The game, which will be aired on Studio 23, will take place in Kaohsiung, Chinese Taipei.

The Nationals will try to avenge their 4-2 loss to Hong Kong in the 2010 edition of the football tournament.

Aside from keeping their eyes on the title, the Azkals will try to improve their world ranking by going up against Hong Kong, Chinese Taipei and Macau.

The Philippines is currently ranked 166 in the world, while Hong Kong is ranked 156.

Studio 23 will air the games live on the following days:

September 30, 9:30 p.m.
PHL vs Hong Kong

October 2, 5:30pm
PHL vs Chinese Taipei

October 4, 3 p.m.
PHL vs Macau
